This came out of a problem where no matter how we tried to use the signature editor in Outlook 2007 we could not change the hyperlink associated with an image in the signature. These same steps may also be required to edit any hyperlink, though I am not certain of that.

THE OUTLOOK PART
– Open up Outlook and go to Tools -> Options
– Choose the Mail Format tab and click on Signatures
– Choose the signature that you wish to edit
– Highlight the image/button in the signature that has the incorrect link and press Ctrl-X (or right-click and then choose Cut). This deletes the image from the signature.
– Click OK to exit signature editing and answer Yes to any questions about saving the changes.

THE WORDPAD PART
– Click the Start button, then click on Run and type “wordpad” (without the quotes) in the command field and then click Open.
– Press Ctrl-V (or right-click and choose Paste) to paste the image into Wordpad. What this does is to Paste the image only, without the hyperlink.
– Highlight the image in Wordpad and press Ctrl-C (or right-click and choose Copy)

THE OUTLOOK PART – PART 2
– Open up Outlook and go to Tools -> Options
– Choose the Mail Format tab and click on Signatures
– Choose the signature that you wish to edit
– Position the cursor where you wish to paste the image and press Ctrl-V (or right-click and then choose Paste). This inserts the image into the signature.
– Highlight the image and then click on the Hyperlink button (small planet with chain beneath it). Type in the URL that you want to associate with the image. Example: http://www.rdiinc.org/connect
– Click OK to save the link location
– Click OK to exit signature editing and answer Yes to any questions about saving the changes.
