Jim has been in IT for about 20 years, building up to network admin/system(s) admin. He has worked mostly with Microsoft Windows, by necessity, but has experience with UNIX (SCO, to be specific) and UNIX-like (OpenBSD, RedHat, Ubuntu) operating systems, as well as Apple OSX ‘workstations’. He’s good at troubleshooting problems of all types (none of us would be in this line of work if we couldn’t do that, right?), and he enjoys the work immensely. When he’s not obsessing about the latest IT innovation or security issue, he enjoys spending time with his family. He’s no expert, but he loves to fly two-line stunt kites. He attended the University of Oregon where he majored in Mathematics.
