NetCorps is seeking a Nonprofit Technology Consultant to work with nonprofit organizations providing technology assistance, including needs assessments, strategic planning/budgeting, project management, training, documentation, and implementation of technology projects.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the non-profit sector, environmental, or social justice causes. They will be a strong problem solver, with a demonstrated ability to find appropriate solutions for client needs. The ideal candidate will also be a strong communicator, with proven skills in listening and effectively communicating with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. A successful technology consultant has knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Microsoft Server Setup and Maintenance
  • Helpdesk and Customer Support
  • Networking Concepts

In addition, a successful technology consultant will have knowledge and experience in one or more of: database support and design; web development; and/or network cabling and infrastructure.

NetCorps is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, based in Eugene, Oregon that primarily serves nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon. Since 1995, NetCorps has been providing nonprofit specific technology assistance and services, with the goal of educating, empowering and enhancing the capacity of the nonprofit sector.

What You’ll Do

The Technology Consultant, who reports to the Executive Director or to Senior Consulting staff, is responsible for the following:

  • Customer Service
  • Evaluating and producing solutions for client needs
  • Problem solving
  • Project management

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working or volunteering in the non-profit sector is strongly preferred.

If you were here right now, you might be:

  • Planning a server upgrade and migration project for a small- to mid-sized nonprofit, OR
  • Assisting a small nonprofit with a conversion from an IMAP email server to a web-based email service, OR
  • Recommending and implementing network hardware upgrades for improved VPN performance.

The position is full-time at about 160 hours/month and is based in Lane County, OR. Some travel may be required to reach client sites, and candidates should have their own transportation. Lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds may be necessary. The salary for this position ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 annually, with exact salary depending on experience.
