On-site Training Visits Coming Soon!
In
the coming weeks, Dan Coleman, the LEAP technology consultant, will be
contacting LEAP organizations to schedule on-site training
visits. Dan will provide assistance on using your newly enhanced
data both in-house and through the Online Service Bureau. Please
make sure key staff members involved in your organization's data
management are available for this training opportunity.
LEAP Continues its Partnership with the Democracy Project
NetCorps is pleased to announce our continuing partnership with a list enhancement effort of the Gill Foundation called the Democracy Project (http://www.gillfoundation.org/democracy). The Gill Foundation advocates for equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. By teaming up with the Democracy Project, all of our groups are strengthened by bringing together the best of our enhancement efforts in this important alliance! Partner groups will reap the benefits of easier access to and manipulation of their secure databases, free on-site technology trainings, and the ability to work with an even larger pool of allied organizations.
Legislative Action Tips
If your organization is lobbying, remember that your enhanced data can help you strategically target your membership for action. Here are a few quick tips:
- Frequent voters are more likely to contact legislators.
- If your LEAP data is not easily accessed within your organization, your data is available on the Online Service Bureau at http://www.voterlist.us/astro2000/gill/NC. If you have forgotten your username and password, please contact Dan Coleman at dan-coleman@nc.rr.com.
- Collaborations with other LEAP organizations can increase your impact, so email Lisa Harris at lisa@netcorps-nc.org about ways to get your collaborative ideas off the ground.
LEAP Technology Consulting Discount
NetCorps is pleased to offer LEAP organizations a 20% discount on our full range of technology services including technology assessment and planning, website development, database development and maintenance, access to donated hardware and software, and much more. Email Lisa Harris at lisa@netcorps-nc.org for more info.
