List Enhancement Info
What is List Enhancement?
Many nonprofit groups may know little to nothing about their members and supporters beyond name, address, phone number and giving history. Often these groups are unaware that voter and demographic profiles on these supporters is publicly available, and that this information could significantly strengthen their organizational power. Knowing more about our supporters helps organizations to provide more effective mechanisms through which concerned citizens can take action on issues important to them.
What Information Is Available?
LEAP appends information to each person's name in an organization’s database. The information comes from the NC State Board of Elections voter registration files. The new information includes:
- Date of birth
- Voter history
- Gender
- Political party
- Legislative district
- Congressional district
- County
- Precinct
Additionally, LEAP "cleans" the data, correcting errors such as address and phone number. With voter file information appended to cleaned lists, groups are able to develop strategic approaches to fundraising, membership recruitment and organizational development.
