An effective website is key to any organization's communication strategy. A website without a goal is almost as bad as not having a website at all.
netCorps can assist you in all stages of planning your website. We begin by determining your specific needs -- What is the target audience? What kind of content do you wish to provide? If you have an existing site, how can we best integrate your existing content into a new one? Addressing such questions is crucial.
netCorps can help your organization design a new website or upgrade your existing site. We can also assist you in custom programming should your site have needs beyond the basics. In short, we can tailor the site to your specific needs, whatever those may be. We primarily work with the Plone and WordPress content management systems.

A Content Management System (CMS) web site is one that allows non-technical users to update the text, images, and documents on a website without having to learn programming. The user creates, updates and manages the content of the web site using a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome. Just about any modern browser will do. Users access, edit and upload content changes to their web site using a browser-based online editor and easy to use tools. CMS solutions are very helpful for simplifying web site management and allowing multiple users to contribute, instead of managing all changes through a single webmaster. For a more detailed and well written explanation of CMSs see A Birds Eye View of the Content Management Landscape:
"Nonprofits use CMSs for different reasons. Smaller nonprofits often want to allow non- technical staff to update and manage the content on its website. Larger nonprofits hope to build resource libraries, share content between national and chapter websites, or allow many authors and editors to collaborate on website content. All nonprofits can benefit from CMS features that find and display the right text and images for a page based on rules, automatically remove expired content, show the same content on different sections of the site or even different websites, or allow multiple people to edit and approve website content." - Jeff Herron and Usha Venkatachallam for Idealware

WordPress, typically used for blogs, can also be used to easily manage reasonably simple websites as well. If you have a website with 5-20 static pages but also want to be able to post news updates, add articles, hook into Facebook, Twitter and/or pull in videos and photos, WordPress may be the tool for you.
WordPress offers a simple administration/editing interface with easy tools for importing images, audio and video or linking to content on other sites (YouTube video, for example).
netCorps offers WordPress CMS development and support services for sites that aren't very graphically complex and do not have a huge amount of static content to manage. WordPress offers excellent blog integration with "static" web content, and is a terrific solution for sites that have frequent news updates and want to engage site visitors through commenting and other interaction.
