NetCorps is Helping to Protect Alaskan Rainforests

With the design and implementation support of netCorps, the Alaska Rainforest Campaign, a coalition of national and Alaska conservation groups that work to protect the remaining wildlands of the Tongass and Chugach National Forests from clearcutting and other, launched their new website, http://www.akrain.org on May 1st of 2005.

The new website utilizes Plone, an open-source content management system that gives the staff of the Alaska Rainforest Campaign complete control over the design and future development of the site. Features include a "Take Action" tool to help citizens get involved in protecting the Alaskan rainforests, an image gallery, and a wealth of educational resources about the Tongass and Chugach National Forests.

netCorps has worked with the Alaska Rainforest Campaign since 1998, helping in their efforts to protect the Tongass and Chugach National Forests; we're proud to be a small part of this important work!
