Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is a grassroots citizens' organization working "for a new balance of power and a just society." Their new website provides a platform for diverse Kentucky voices to be heard. Lowcountry Open Land Trust, based in Charleston, South Carolina, works to protect the wild and historic places of the Lowcountry. Both of these new websites were developed using Plone, a powerful and easy to use open-source content management system.

Organizations A dozen grassroots peace and justice groups are ramping up their advocacy and education work this year, thanks to their participation in LEAP. This year's efforts promise to engage North Carolinians on a variety of critical issues, in part due to our collaboration with the list enhancement efforts of the Conservation Council of North Carolina and Equality NC. Together, participating groups have the chance to educate and engage at least 250,000 NC citizens on local, state, national and global issues. The summer training series offers nonprofit staff the chance to learn about existing and emerging tools and resources that can help save time, money and resources--all while improving productivity.
